The long, sandy beaches south of Naxos Town are among the most beautiful in the Greek Islands. The well-known beaches include Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka. The beaches do not differ wildly from another but Plaxa is the longest and most open stretch of coastline with sand dunes and less development.
