    • Visit the charming little town of Bacharach on the banks of the Rhein River. The town is small but very quaint with several good restaurants and is surrounded by steep vineyards where Riesling grapes are grown. Above the town is Castle Stahleck, a beautiful castle that overlooks the Rhine and the vineyards. The castle is now a youth hostel (very good standards) and is accessible to the general public. Walking from Bacharach is a short 20 minute climb. Those staying at the hostel can also drive to the top and unload baggage there.
